Graduation Time!!

It's time to think about those high school graduations!  I found this quick card on Pintrest and had to give it my own spin on it.  A pdf of the directions can be found here. Jill's Ink.

I used black card-stock with white pearlized insert.  the congratulations stamp is from Stampin-Up.  The gold tassel is gold ribbon that I trimmed the outer edge off and then pulled the strands out.  The cap folds up an has a envelope to put money in for the graduate.

I really enjoyed making this card.  I could see personalizing it to the school colors very easily.

Mother's Day

With Mother's Day around the corner I have been busy making cards.  This year I have made three different ones.
The first card is a free cut from Cricut Craft Room.

This is a pick cardstock with a light purple insert.  The flowers were cut from Cricuts Florals Embellished.  The center of the flowers are pearls.

This also a free cut from the Cricut Craft Room.  It's red cardstock with a white insert.  The daisy is replacing the rose cut that was in the original design.  I colored in the MOM to help it stand out. Where the diamond bling is there was some shadowed lines that were cut out.  I like the bling a little more just to add another dimension to the card.

The last card is my favorite,  It is a circle easel card.  The turquoise outer circle is cut using Spellbinders Nesting Butterfly Circles.  I saved some of the punched out butterfly to re-use on the face of the card.  The shimmer white card stock is cut out using Sizzex Circle Framelits.  I then embossed it.  The larder butterflies I found at a scrapbooking expo (no name brand).  On the inside I used a clear flower bling to hold it up.

May 1st!

I have no new pictures this week.  I have been very busy with orders and home life.  The weather is also getting nicer which is making it harder to sit in a room crafting!  Please check back next week to see what I've been working on.

First Retirement card

This card was really hard for me to do.  It's for a co-worker that I don't know very well.  He doesn't have any hobbies that he talks about.  He doesn't want a big to do with leaving the company either.  The base is a soft yellow paper that I embossed with a wood-grain texture and then inked over top.  the dark brown is embossed with a diamond pattern.  The adirondacks chair is a print & cut file that I did with the cameo.  I did make this card with Sizzex pop & cuts.  I just got them from a scrapbook expo.

Wedding season 2013

It is the start of Wedding season.  This is a special request that I did over the weekend.  The colors are the colors of the wedding.  The cake is a svg file that I had that I edited to better fit the card.  The cake is popped out from the base.  The names were cut using my Cameo.

3 Card weekend

It's been a cold and rainy/snowy weekend here.  It helped me to get into my craft room and get so more cards made.     I made three different cards.

The first is a simple Hello card.  The stamps are all from Stamping Ups "Pendant Park".  The HELLO and the bench is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The tree is stamped with a olive green by Studio G.  The ribbon is brown and have corresponding brown pearls.

The next card is a fun spring card.  The font label was created on the Silhouette.  The rest is cut out using Cricut.  The strawberry is from Indie Art, the leaves behind are from Joys of the Season and the flowers are from Picturesque.  There is bakers twine over a lace ribbon.

The third card is a Get Well card.  The Band-Aid is from Indie Art is well.  The red is embossed with diamond plate.  There is black ribbon that is underneath the bakers twine.  The center of the Band-Aid is raise with pop dots.

Birthday Card with Cameo

I just recently bought a Cameo.  I am really loving the ability to make my own designs and to share designs with others.  I still have a lot to learn but will share the results as I go.  There is so much more that I could do with this design but I wanted to show off the detail of the cuts that the Cameo can do.
